This is an intermediate level workshop designed for photographers who already have a basic understanding of camera operations and photographic exposure and are looking to advance into the beauty, fashion or portrait photography genres. We will start with lighting theory, health and safety, and, studio protocol and quickly move on to the practical studio lighting setups and work with 3 different models. You will be working in small groups of 4-5 people that will alternate between the different lighting setups/models in order to ensure you get a variety of different shots as along with an enhanced and engaging experience.

What you need to bring:
A camera with flash hotshoe (preferably DSLR) with fully charged battery and memory card.
Any additional lenses that you might have.
A tripod would be very useful but is not essential.
A packed lunch/drinks.

About the tutor:

Rehan teaches camera acquisition for visual effects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is doing a PhD based on his photography practice. He has had a number of successful group and solo exhibitions and his work has been published in print and on the BBC.
